Samsung attemps to light up CES 2010 with another digital camera offering in the form of the NX10, where despite coming in a sleek and compact body, it is able to offer users optimum image quality to help you capture creative shots without any compromise in portability. Being this effective is made possible thanks to a fast and decisive auto focus (AF), 14.6-megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and a special, large 3.0” AMOLED screen, enabling avid shutterbugs to view their images easily despite being under bright sunlight. Sometimes, however, photos don’t tell the whole story (or have a thousand word limit according to tradition), which is why video recording comes in handy as well, with the NX10 being full well capable of handling HD movie recording without missing a beat.
Boasting one of the fastest AF in its class on the market, this claim is made possible courtesy of Samsung’s new DRIMe II Pro engine and advanced AF algorithm. Basically, the Samsung NX10 might look like a standard digital camera on the outside, but within it lies the heart of a DSLR, thanks to a successful integration of the APS-C size CMOS sensor with a mirrorless interchangeable lens which results in a sleek, lightweight camera that can be carried around anywhere and everywhere without spraining that shoulder of yours. All HD movie recording will be performed in the H.264 codec for a wider range of playback compatibility.
Other features available on the Samsung NX10 aim to help you be a better shutterbug thanks to its integrated technology, featuring in-depth manual controls, a Smart Auto function that is capable of selecting the best shooting mode, a Smart Range feature which lets you express bright and dark areas simultaneously within the same frame, and a Supersonic Dust Reduction system that prevents dust particles from impairing the image.
