LED lights seem to show up in the strangest places, including the faucet for your sink. This one changes how water pours into the sink. Instead of your average type of faucet, this pours through a very flat looking piece of glass. Making washing your hands a miniature light show every single time. Don’t worry, despite that this sink is quite a bit different from the normal faucet, it isn’t too outrageously priced.
The faucet is said to have an extremely easy installation process, even for those that have no experience installing faucets. Although these faucets feature LED lights, it doesn’t appear that these change colors at all. The faucets have proven to never leak thanks to its durable ceramic valves. You can purchase this Single Handle LED Glass Sink Faucet for $65 a piece from Shop Kami.

Wavebox portable microwave oven
When the microwave oven was first released, it did change the way we live in many aspects. No longer do you need to wait for hours on end for something frozen to thaw, and heating food up takes but a couple of minutes under the high power setting. While there are certain quarters that claim eating microwaved food isn’t exactly the most healthy way to go, who wants to live forever anyways, right? After all, we’re all about convenience these days, and you don’t get any more convenient than popping in a TV dinner into your microwave whenever you’re home grouchy and hungry. Well, looks like the electrical world’s sliced bread has just gotten better with its “butter”, in the form of the Wavebox portable microwave oven.
The Wavebox portable microwave oven is pretty self-explanatory – it functions as a microwave oven, albeit you are able to bring this with you just about anywhere you go. We mean that with some common sense, of course, as we wouldn’t expect you to lug this around a shopping mall just because the waffle you bought was not hot enough for you. No sir, the Wavebox will target folks who need to prepare meals away from the kitchen or those who live off-the-grid, which includes campers, boaties and truckies among others. Tipping the scales at 6.3kg, the Wavebox will run off the mains voltage regardless of which country you are in, while you can always hook it up to your vehicle’s 12 volt battery via alligator leads with the option to plug it into your in-vehicle power outlet.
Retailing for $250 a pop, at least you won’t need to go through the hassle of starting a fire in the middle of nowhere while waiting for many minutes before your food is cooked. Just make sure your vehicle’s battery has enough charge left to keep the Wavebox going, otherwise you might end up as food for the grizzlies.

Inflatable Serving Bar
Christmas is over, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be holding any more parties or large family gatherings in your home down the road! Why not make things easier with the Inflatable Serving Bar that introduces convenience to your guests, as it sits on top of a standard table with the ability to hold ice so that your salads and finger food will remain fresh hours after being exposed to the air. Storage is also a snap, since you can just deflate it and fold it somewhere even if you have limited space left at home. Made from PVC, you will need to purchase our own air pump unless you have the lungs of Hercules to inflate this through your mouth. Good thing it comes with its own repair kit, but we would still advise you to keep it out of reach of dogs, cats and mischevious kids. The Inflatable Serving Bar retails for $19.95.

Toaster that mimics a printer
The toaster is probably one of the most boring gadgets out there, which is probably why designers enjoy altering the classic toaster so much. Well one more designer is trying their hand at changing up the way we use our toasters. This one seems to take its inspiration directly from a printer. Instead of printing out pages though, it spits out fresh toast.
It’s be cool if it did actually print something onto the toast, since the design is so similar to a printer. On the top of the toaster you place several different pieces of bread. Then as it toasts the bread it drops them down below in a nice little stack. It’d be great for large families that need a stack of toasted bread in a hurry. So far it is still a concept though.

Digital Video Memo Fridge Magnet
Although this fridge magnet surely has some practical purpose, I can’t help but be creeped out by the sappy way it’s depicted by the manufacturer. They’re of course pitching it as a way to leave sweet loving messages for your significant other. One so sappy that it will surely make any kids that might be in the house, likely lose their appetite before they can even manage to get what they originally wanted out of the fridge.

Mechanical Timer with LED Light
For those of you that always enjoy checking out the strange novelty lights, here’s one more. This one is meant for your kitchen itself and uses an odd method to power the small ambient glow that it gives off. It won’t stay on all the time, purely when the timer itself is on. So it’s not something you could leave on at night next to the fridge to make it easier to sneak a midnight snack.
Oddly in order to power this LED light it uses mechanical energy. When you rotate the base to set a time, it of course cranks the mechanism inside.
Then as it slowly unwinds, all of that stored energy will power the lighting aspect of the timer. So there really isn’t much of a point to this at all, besides that when the glow goes out it’s another reminder that your food is done. It might also be a good idea for those that are hard of hearing. Sure, they could always check the numbers, but it’s much easier to spot when the light has gone out. Right now this is just a concept design by Jasper Hou.

Digital BBQ Tongs
Just when you thought that a rudimentary device could not get “techno-fied”, along comes the Digital BBQ Tongs.
The Digital BBQ Tongs are more than just ordinary barbecue tongs with a LED display, but they have special sensors in the tips to detect the meat’s temperature. So in case you are wondering if the burgers or chicken really are cooked all the way through, just listen to the tongs.
Yes, these tongs will actually tell you, with an chimed alarm, when the meat is done. In fact, it has seven preset meat types and one custom setting. No more eating undercooked food and risking terrifying health problems ever again!
Not only does it come with a backlit LCD display, but it also has an LED flashlight for times when…actually, I can’t think of a time when you would use the LED flashlight. I mean, if you are barbecuing at night, then move your grill underneath the porch light! At least the LED flashlight might give you that extra light if it is needed.
If you like the concept behind the Digital BBQ Tongs, and want one of your own, feel free to go to the Taylor Gifts site and lay down $40. By the way, it comes with the 3 AAA batteries that power it.
