Zenmo DeskBook Pro Docking Station

Review on the latest all gadgets , PC or computer hardwares, notebooks, netbooks, accessories, gadgets, mobile phones and video game consoles on the market .Many people would love to have all the power and flexibility that a desktop PC can provide on a notebook or even netbook platform that is light enough to tote around, but current technology still cannot offer that to the masses as desktop replacement notebooks are more often than not way too heavy to lug around on a conference floor (CES attendees ought to know that), while netbooks are too casual for serious on-the-go working moments. A middle ground comes in the form of a notebook docking station which, while it won’t be able to offer all the characteristics of a powerful desktop, it is capable of addressing the connectivity options of a notebook by expanding it with a fair number of additional ports while helping keep your notebook running nice and cool. Enter the DeskBook Pro Docking Station from Zenmo which we’ll look at in further detail right after the jump.

deskbook-proZenmo’s DeskBook Pro Docking Station boasts unrivaled connectivity and introduces ModBay technology, where the latter will enable the DeskBook Pro to support internal connection of hard drives, batteries and peripherals. Not only are ModBays highly portable, they also offer convenient access to additional power for the dock whenever you are on the go or out on the road. The DeskBook Pro with ModBay technology makes for the logical (and perfect) upgrade path for future peripheral connectivity in a portable, elegant and slim profiled design without having to make you look more like a geek than you already are. Traveling with the DeskBook Pro to complement your notebook also gives you the luxury of leaving all your peripherals plugged in, helping you save crucial time from all the plugging and unplugging of multiple devices each time you want to use your device.
The DeskBook Pro docking station is a control & command center for your digital world, bringing the following connectivity options to the table (literally and figuratively) :-
  • 7 USB Ports
  • 3 FireWire 800 Ports
  • 1 FireWire 400 Port
  • 1 DVI Output
  • 1 Ethernet Port
  • 1 ESATA Data Connection
  • 1 ESATA Power Connection
  • 1 Audio Stereo Input
  • 1 Audio Stereo Output
  • 1 Flash Card Reader
  • 2 ModBays
It will play nice with any Mac or PC notebook as long as they are no larger than 15″ in size and come with FireWire and USB capabilities. You will be able to place your pre-orders for the DeskBook Pro Docking Station for $499.99, where shipping commences in early January next year.

Water-Powered Can Clock

If you have an area that you could really use just a normal clock, you might as well make it an eco-friendly one.  Sure, you could just hang a battery powered wall clock just as easily, but then you’re stuck buying batteries.  With this all you have to do is remember to refill it with water and thankfully you don’t even have to do that very often.  These clocks would be great to sit on a desk or tabletop to make it easier to keep track of the time.

The water in the can will actually last between 6 to 12 months before you need to add water to the clock.  Which means the clock won’t really take any more maintenance than a normal clock with batteries would.  Plus, since it doesn’t require batteries it’ll also run cheaper than the rest.  When you combine the fact that it runs cheaply with it being a cheap clock to begin with, it makes it an ideal arrangement.  You can purchase it for £9.99 or about $16 through Green Stamp.

Audiophiles who can’t live without music will also love the Nokia 6750 as it allows you to access to the urMusic service from Rogers Wireless, where external music keys make it a snap to have full control of your audio tracks wherever you are, while Bluetooth stereo adaptability lets you live out the wireless lifestyle with a pair of Bluetooh headphones. PillCam Colon 2 makes its mark

Medical knowledge and technology sure has come a long way from the ancient times where sickness was attributed to the devil and his cohort, and in this day and age where going under the knife often meant saving a life, the PillCam Colon 2 makes its appearance, going one up on its predecessor of the same name (sans the progression in number, of course). This endoscopic capsule was specially designed for imaging of the large intestine, and has picked up European approval recently, having been unveiled at the Gastro 2009 Conference in London, England.
During the presentation of the PillCam Colon 2, independent investigators presented results of a 98-patient feasibility study that involved the ingestion of this particular medical marvel. The conclusion that these investigators came to was the PillCam Colon 2 is a “safe and effective method to visualize the colon and detect colonic polyps.” To add further weight to its effectiveness, an article discussing the study has been accepted for the December 2009 edition of the journal Endoscopy. Compared to colonoscopy, the PillCam Colon 2 pointed towards a sensitivity of 89% and a specificity of 76% in detecting polyps greater than or equal to 6 mm and a sensitivity of 88% and a specificity of 89% in detecting polyps greater than or equal to 10 mm.
Apart from its seemingly higher degree of accuracy when it comes to detecting polyps of various sizes compared to a regular colonoscopy, the PillCam Colon 2 also offers the fringe benefits of not requiring the use of sedation, intubation or air insufflation during the procedure, which ought to give patients a sigh of relief – at least for those who are afraid of going through the regular rigors of a colonoscopy. This convenient method of visualizing the colon relies on bi-directional communication between the PillCam Colon 2 and the DataRecorder, allowing it to track the capsule’s motion in the GI tract in order for the image capture rate to be adjusted to maximize colon tissue coverage.

Boombox iPod Dock Speaker

Review on the latest all gadgets , PC or computer hardwares, notebooks, netbooks, accessories, gadgets, mobile phones and video game consoles on the market
If you can’t swing the big iPod boombox, at least you can have this tiny one. It’ll allow for you to play your music through a classic boombox, but you won’t have to break the bank to buy it. Of course you’ll look really silly trying to perch this on your shoulder, so you might just want to leave this one on the tabletop. At least you’ll get to combine your new technology with a true classic. The dock features double speakers and is supposed to offer a rich sound. It’s compatible with most iPods and even will work great with the iPhone. The device can only be wiped clean, for obvious reasons. They don’t state how the dock receives its power, whether it’s by batteries or if it’s USB powered. I would hope it’s USB powered, but you never know. You can purchase it for $18.

iPod Desktop Speaker makes for an affordable gift

Review on the latest all gadgets , PC or computer hardwares, notebooks, netbooks, accessories, gadgets, mobile phones and video game consoles on the market
Finding affordable gifts for someone who is more into technology than anything else can sometimes seem to be a trying task. Luckily though there are some retailers happy to sell off speakers to go with your precious iPod or iPhone. With this speaker it’ll play your music, while also giving a spot to rest your iPod and leave it on display. You could easily see and flip through

music while it’s hooked up to the speaker.
It’s not really something you carry everywhere with you. It would be nice to have sitting on a desk of some kind though. For students with cramped living conditions it would work out great. The device is meant for the iPhone or any of the iPods besides the Shuffle. It will hook up to any MP3 player though. In order to keep it running, it requires 4 AAA batteries. You can purchase the speaker in both red and black for $9.99 a piece through The Container Store.
